I just finished reading Seven Days in the Art World by Sarah Thornton, a fabulous account of a microculture –the high-end modern art world– that 99% of us will never experience. I found it very interesting that the Biennale in Venice is politically driven and many interviewees Thorton quotes describe it somewhat negatively. I'm ashamed to confess it, but I only take time to read books during the summer or when I'm on vacation.
